Tab Blog: Dangerous Dreams

By February 5, 2019Uncategorized

We all have dreams. Things we desire to accomplish. They all begin with just one step, then another, and then another. It sounds easy, but the first step is usually the most difficult one to take. Regardless, big dreams or small dreams, that first step has to be taken. The great news is we are not alone. Dreams are more than just something to be achieved, they are an opportunity to partner with our Creator, the biggest Dreamer of all time. God does not need us to fulfill anything, but He desires to partner with us.

All through the Bible we see examples of this. Noah built a boat for an event he’d never heard of. Moses led an entire race out of Egypt. David went from being a young shepherd to becoming a King. Esther became a queen and saved her people from genocide. Joseph married a young girl who gave birth to our Savior.

Maybe your dream isn’t of “Biblical” proportions, but it is still important to God, and to you. Ever since I can remember, it was my dream to play piano. When I was young, I’d go to my grandmother’s house and pound away on the piano that belonged to my mom when she was a girl. As I went through school, I played other instruments, but nothing came close to that piano. Eventually my mom’s piano became my piano, but lessons were still far away. But then came “that day!” Someone put a message on the 3D Woman Facebook Page offering piano lessons and I responded. When I began lessons five years ago, I was asked what my goal was. My response was, “I wanted to sit in my living room and worship the Lord.”

God has enabled me to meet that very goal and surpass it. Today, I find myself ministering in places I never thought I’d be. God is so good! Remember, the dream is just the beginning. He will take the dream in your heart and not only help you meet it, but even go beyond. Then He will move you into the places He has had waiting for you all along.

What dreams are in your heart? It may not be a dream inside the church walls, but it is no less important. What you need to know is that whatever it is and that whatever stage of life you’re in, God is waiting for you. All you need to do is take that first step.

All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes to make it possible.  T.E. Lawrence
