The Power of Scars
Revelation 12:10-11 – Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Revelation 12:10-11 NKJV)
There are 2 things that overcome the enemy – the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.
Who among us has not experienced grief, pain, heartache, confusion? The Lamb of God shed His blood for the sake of our salvation. He sacrificed Himself that we might endure the trials that inevitably come our way. It is not more difficult to live for God as some may think. Pain and suffering is no respecter of persons. But as we live our lives completely dependent on the Holy Spirt of God we are afforded the benefit of seeing with different eyes. We see the pain, the suffering, the heartache for what it really is – a transformative testimony of ultimate victory!
Let us recognize the trials in our lives for what they are – opportunities to bring Glory to the God of our salvation. Let us endure as we go through the tribulations and the uncertainties that we face. Let us take the scars that we bear and use them as the testimony of the goodness of God and overcome the enemy and his attacks. He has no power because ALL the victory is God’s and we WILL overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony.
Our trials, persevered and endured, become the testimonies that overcome. What you walk through today, in confusion and even hopelessness, is tomorrow’s victory song! Let the scars of your yesterday be the testimony of your today.
In His Name,
