Pastor’s Pen: The Blessed Life

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Dear Tabernacle Family,

I am so excited to be engaging with you in our All-Church Study of “The Blessed Life” by Pastor Robert Morris. I am confident that the truths we will unlock will help position us to be a great blessing to the work of God’s Kingdom.

Please receive the following encouragement from Robert Morris, Pastor of Gateway Church in Lakeview, Texas, and author of “The Blessed Life.”

“Hi everyone at The Tabernacle. I love you guys so much and I’m so proud of how God is using you to expand the kingdom in your area! As you know, Bishop Robert Stearns and I have been close friends for many, many years, through our work together on the Kings University Board and having ministered together. I love Robert and have the upmost respect for him.

I’m so excited that you’re going to be going through the series and the book “The Blessed Life.” As an international best-seller, having been translated into about 40 languages, God has literally used this book to transform and change people’s lives all over the world.

I know you are going to be greatly impacted from the truths you’ll discover. I like to say this way, “We get to give, we don’t give to get!” When we get that right in our hearts, then God blesses us so that we can be a blessing. I hope you’ll pick up a copy of the book and that you’ll join a home-group, and that you will let God speak to you through this series, so that you can be blessed, and so you can be a blessing!”

Today, we begin in earnest both our individual and corporate study of The Blessed Life! I’m confident that the Holy Spirit, who delights in leading us into all truth, is going to illuminate some key principles from today’s message that will bring you into a deeper, fuller understanding of how much God desires to bless you. Let’s expect, as we faithfully respond to the message, that God will give us fresh insight into the eternal principles set forth in His Word, and that He will lead each of us into a rich, and full, and Blessed Life!

With joy,

Pastor Jim Ruddy

Dear Tabernacle Family,

I am so happy to report that we are experiencing growth within our Media Ministry both in our volunteer base and our virtual audience. God is so faithful! Our goal is to produce high quality video and audio products that help to spread the Gospel here locally, nationally, and globally. We are permeating the virtual world with Kingdom Culture and The Father Heart of God.

In the media world we are at the ground level of our capabilities. We have so much to grow into and that really excites me!!

The Media Team Volunteers are some of the most dedicated, talented and fun group of people that I get the honor to work with. We are all learning and growing together. Both technically and spiritually. If you are interested or would like to learn more about joining our team, please feel free to email me at cleight@thetab.org.

Through Social Media we are growing exponentially. Through Facebook our post reach is now hitting nearly 10,000 people with 1,890 people following The Tabernacle. For our 10am Facebook Live services we are averaging 1,300 views. Keep sharing, following and joining in with us!

Pastor’s Pen: Becoming a Covenant Member

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Dear Tabernacle Family,

It is a privilege for me to be able to greet you on this Labor Day Weekend!

Traditionally, this weekend marks the end of our summer, and students enjoying the last few days of “freedom” before returning to the routine of school and studies. This Sunday also marks the beginning of a new ministry year at The Tabernacle as the various ministries resume a normal activity schedule.

It is also a time when we invite and encourage those connecting with our congregation to consider entering into covenant membership at The Tabernacle. This invitation is extended to you whether you are relatively new to this House or have attended for a longer time but have not considered membership before.

Covenant membership is much more than an organization, such as Rotary, or Lions Club, that you join. It is entering into a relationship with a body of believers called to corporate worship of The Living God; caring for fellow believers, drawing strength from this body of believers in your time of need, and being a representative of the King and His Kingdom to the world.

On September 17th, an 8-week seminar will begin that will prepare you to enter into covenant membership at The Tab. The class is approximately 45 minutes long and meets at 9:00am on Sunday mornings in the Atrium Classroom (Matthew Room). Greg Collins and I will present a Biblical understand of the Church, along with pertinent information about The Tabernacle and its history, mission and calling. The classes will provide an opportunity for you to further investigate and consider covenant membership at the Tabernacle.

If you are interested, we have a packet of information we would like to give you in advance. There is a portion of the packet that asks you for information so we can prepare for your attendance in the class. You may obtain a packet at the Welcome/Information Center in The Atrium or by calling our office (675-2888) and ask our receptionist. Today, I will be at the Membership Table during the Ministry Fair to meet you and answer your questions.

Blessings,

Pastor Al Baun
